Introducing VI games! A new era of audio racing experience for the blind and visually impaired community

*Introducing VI Games: A New Era of Accessible Audio Racing for the Blind and Visually Impaired Community*_By the Blind Tech Community Team | April 21, 2026_*Exciting News for the Global Blind Community*We’re thrilled to share a milestone we’ve been working toward for months: *VI Games is now live on the Play Store*. Developed by the Blind Tech Community team, VI Games is a brand-new, accessibility-first gaming platform. Leading its launch is our flagship title — *Audio Car Racing*, a fully sound-based racing experience designed from the ground up for blind and visually impaired players, while still being enjoyable for sighted friends and family. This isn’t just “another game with accessibility added later.” VI Games was built with accessibility as the foundation, not an afterthought.*Getting Started Is Simple and Inclusive*We believe great games shouldn’t have complicated barriers. That’s why VI Games features a clean, uncluttered interface with full screen-reader compatibility. To begin: 1. Install VI Games from the Play Store 2. Log in securely with any Google account after reviewing the terms and conditions 3. Open the app and head straight into the *Audio Car Racing* sectionFrom there, you choose how you want to play. We’ve included both *Blind Mode* and *Sighted Mode*, so blind, low-vision, and sighted players can race together on equal footing. No one is left out of the fun.*Flexible Game Modes for Every Player*Whether you want a quick solo practice session or a competitive match with friends, VI Games adapts to you.*Play Modes:* – *Offline*: Perfect for practice, learning the controls, or playing without internet – *Online*: Real-time multiplayer with a full room system *Online Room Features:* You can create a private room, browse available public rooms, join with one tap, share invite links with friends, or leave a room anytime. Hosting a game night is now as easy as sending a link.*Difficulty + Race Customization:* – *Basic Mode*: Ideal for beginners. Simplified mechanics, 2-player support – *Medium Mode*: Adds extra challenge and depth, supports up to 3 players – *Custom Race Distance*: Set your target from 1 KM for a 2-minute sprint, up to 100 KM for an endurance challenge This flexibility means you control the pace. New to audio games? Start with a 1 KM Basic race. Ready for competition? Set up a 50 KM Medium room and invite your rivals.*Gameplay That’s Immersive, Sound-Driven, and Fair*We wanted racing to feel real without relying on visuals. So we rebuilt the racing experience around audio cues, timing, and decision-making.*How a Race Works:* 1. *Pre-Race Realism*: Every match begins with tactile audio actions — open the car door, close the car door. Small details that build immersion. 2. *The Core Challenge*: As you race, animals will appear on the track. You’ll hear distinct animal sounds positioned in left, center, or right audio channels. 3. *React and Avoid*: Swipe or use controls to move lanes and avoid collisions. 4. *Scoring System*: Successfully avoid an animal = points gained. Hit an animal = 50 points deducted. 5. *Three Chances*: You get 3 lives per race, so strategy and focus matter more than luck. The result is a tense, rewarding loop that tests your reflexes, spatial audio awareness, and decision-making — all without needing to see a screen.*Accessibility Features That Set VI Games Apart*Accessibility is not a checkbox for us. It’s the core mechanic. – *Directional Audio Cues*: Every obstacle is announced through 3D-positioned animal sounds. Left ear = left lane. It’s intuitive and fast. – *TTS Integration*: Key events like “Race Start,” “Fuel Low,” or “Final Lap” are spoken clearly using your device’s TTS engine. – *Full Game Controls*: Accelerate, brake, park, and refuel — all mapped to simple gestures and buttons that work perfectly with TalkBack. – *Fuel Management*: Adds strategic depth. Use the *Fill Fuel* option at the right time or risk losing the race. – *Customizable Audio*: Adjust TTS speech rate, background music volume, and select different race tracks to match your hearing preference. This is racing you can _feel_ through sound.*More Than a Race: Your Profile, Progress, and Community*VI Games is built to be a platform, not a one-off title. Inside the app you’ll find: – *Wallet System*: Your score and coins update automatically as you play and win races – *Profile Section*: Track total kilometers raced, animals saved, personal high score, and overall progress – *Leaderboard*: See how you rank globally or among friends. Competition drives improvement – *Themes & Settings*: Switch between light and dark theme, change music, and tweak TTS to create your ideal setupWe want every player to feel ownership of their journey, from first race to top of the leaderboard.*Why VI Games Matters*For years, the blind community has asked for games that are truly competitive, social, and built for us — not adapted for us. VI Games answers that call. It combines: 1. *True accessibility* through audio-first design 2. *Real competition* with online rooms and leaderboards 3. *Depth of gameplay* via fuel, scoring, and difficulty modes 4. *Community focus* with profiles, progress tracking, and shared rooms This is more than entertainment. It’s proof that accessible gaming can be exciting, practical, and mainstream.*Join the Race Today*VI Games and Audio Car Racing are available now for Android. If you’ve been waiting for a racing game that understands how you play, this is it. We’re incredibly proud of what the Blind Tech Community team has built, and even more excited to see the community race, compete, and share feedback to make it better.*Download VI Games:* https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=btc.toolsHave questions, feedback, or want to organize a community tournament?
